   1. Free Printable Music of Major Composers - http://imslp.org

• The Petrucci Music Library is an internet-based collaborative music score library, and is currently the main project. You will find tens of thousands of scores composed by thousands of composers here, all available for free download.

2. Rhythm Counter - http://www.philtulga.com/counter.html

• Are you having trouble figuring out the numbers or syllables to a complicated rhythm?  If so, check out this cool site.  Type in any rhythm and it will provide the correct numbers or syllables.

3.  Improve your aural skills - http://www.good-ear.com/servlet/EarTrainer

• This is a fantast site that allows you to practice hearing intervals, scales, chords, cadences, jazz chords, and note location.  You can change the instrument, speed, volume, and level.  This is a perfect site to use for individual or group practice.

4.  Music Theory/Aural Skills/Printable Resourses - http://www.musictheory.net/index.html

• This site provides free interactive lessons and trainers on music theory and aural skills. It also has a staff builder that allows you to customize staff paper to meet different educational and compositional needs.   The lessons are well organized and easy for students of all ages to follow.  The ear training section provides practice for students at every level. This is a comprehensive site that can be used for individual or group practice.

• These music flashcards can be used by beginning music students who are becoming acquainted with key music rudiments, all the way up to intermediate and advanced students who wish to fill in gaps here and there or increase fluency with existing knowledge.

6.  Learn to Sightsing - http://neilhawes.com/sstheory/sitesing.htm

• This site is intended to teach sightsinging and improve sightsinging skills.  There are exercises for that are appropriate for all levels of musicianship.  The exercises give detailed directions and interactive lessons.  There are also sections for pitch theory and practice and rhythm theory and practice.  This is a great resourse for elementary general music classes and chorus classes.

• This site offers free music theory lessons that range from fundamentals to writing chromatic harmony.  The lessons are easy to follow and provide listening examples.  This is a wonderful supplement to any music theory lesson.

8. Everything a musician needs - http://gmajormusictheory.org/

• This site is designed by a music teacher at CAPA who teaches AP Music and is a grader for the AP music exam.  It contains theory lessons, aural skills, free shee music, and much more for all levels.  This is a great for students and a wonderful resource for teachers. 

9.  Melodic Dictation - http://www.calpoly.edu/~lfose/mad/index.html

• Practice a melody a day.  Students can hear the example, practice the dictation, and then see the answer scroll in finale.  There are examples for a varity of genres of music.  Students can also change the key on any example to practice in different keys.  

10. Free Choral Music - http://www2.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

• This is a choral public domain library.  You can download music in pdf form and hear midi recordings.  You can print the pdf and copy it for your chorus.  Thousands of great works for free...check it out!

11. Free Piano Music - http://www.gmajormusictheory.org/Freebies/freebies.html

• All music is in printable form and most pieces have a midi recording.  There is music for all levels.  This is a great resource for teachers and students.

• Simon Says is a memory game that helps build tonal memory. This game will challenge students at any age level.  See if you can beat the high score of 20 in a row...Good Luck!

• This site offers a wide variety of music games for keyboard, ear training, guitar, rhythm, and much more.  Be sure to check out all the games on teh side bars.  These flash games are great!

• This site is similar to the flash music games.  It offers a wide variety of online games for all ability levels. 

15. Virtual Drum Set - http://www.agame.com/game/Drum-Session.html

• Play the drum set by clicking on the drums or using your numeric keypad. 

16. Music Theory, Ear Training, Instrument Fingerings - http://www.emusictheory.com/practice.html

• This site offers interactive lessons and skill drills for theory, ear training, instrument fingering and much more.  This is a good site for any class to use. 

17. Sheet music for all instruments - http://www.8notes.com/instruments/

• This site has printable sheet music for all instruments with score info for each piece.  Each piece can be played or downloaded in the following forms. Gif, Scorch, PDF, MIDI, and mp3. The site has music for solo instruments, duets, and different ensemble combinations.

18. Theory lessons and exercises - http://www.teoria.com/index.html

• This is a comprehensive site with lessons, tutorials, exercises, guided listening examples, history, and much more.  This is probably one of the best free online music theory sites I have found.  Take some time to check it out!

19. YoSoy - http://www.yosoyartista.net

• This site contains music, multimedia, art, photography, and poetry that was created by students at NASH and NAI.  You can browse the work on the site and comment on what you hear.  This is a public site that is monitored by the music and art teachers at North Allegheny.  I recommend taking some time to browse through the fantastic work done by students in your school district.  Visit the site often because it changes daily!! Very cool site!

20. Easy Looper - http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/sdml/sdml.asp

• This site is great for beginning composers who want to start using loops.  The free version allows you to paint the loops you want and add or erase.  It does not let you save or record. Check it out!
